Guyanese can be found all across the United States. There are concentrations of Guyanese in NY, NJ, Connecticut, Boston, Washington DC metropolitan area, Atlanta Georgia, Houston and Dallas Texas, Dade County, Miami and Central Florida, Chicago and Detroit and Philadelphia. The number of Guyanese in New York City alone is estimated around 300,000 plus and the city’s planning department placed them among the city’s top four fastest growing foreign born population. Education attainment and average family income exceed the average for NYC residents.

This English speaking community has become a much pursued demographic as local business organizations and public officials have long recognized their industrious nature, entrepreneurial spirit and startling business acumen. They are endowed with a powerful community spirit, deep sense of loyalty and a strong desire for social, educational and economic advancement.
